PURPOSE
The medical unit provides the following services.
1. First-aid in the event of aircraft/airport emergencies.
2. First- to the passengers /victors and others airport users.
3. Standby medical services for VVIP/VIPs.
4. First-aid to employees on duty of all agencies operating at cochin airport.
To render the above services, one medical inspection unit is established in the terminal.
MANPOWER
The MI Room terminal is manned round the clock.
The Medical officer, one medical assistant each are available round the clock at Terminal.
The MI room is provided with a bed, medical equipments, sufficient quantity of medical Equipments, sufficient quantity of medicines, dressing materials and linen. One telephone extension is provided.
First aid room at fire station
A first aid Room with all facilities like bed, medicines etc., is also available, to attend any causality cases
First Aid Boxes
First aid boxes have been provided at following locations at the airport for immediate utilization.
1. Fire Station.
2. One box in each Ambulance.
3. One in Power House.
